Roy DeCarava and Danny Lyon both photographed expressions of Black life and the struggle for civil rights in mid-century America but in their own unique styles. This tour will introduce the life and times of both artists and lead a comparative exploration of how DeCarava and Lyon approached capturing the world around them through the photographer’s lens.
