Volunteers are one of the largest support groups at The Ringling. Over 600 volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds eagerly donate their talents and thousands of hours of their time to this world-class organization. Our volunteers’ dedication, knowledge and enthusiasm greatly enhances our visitors’ experience, and without their passion and commitment, The Ringling could not perform its mission effectively. We hope that you will consider volunteering with our organization and help us share the legacy of John and Mable Ringling.
Volunteers serve in a variety of roles at The Ringling. Available opportunities vary from season to season. Some positions carry a minimum weekly commitment of one shift per week, although we do occasionally offer opportunities with more flexible schedules. More information can be found at Volunteer Opportunities.
Benefits
The Ringling's volunteers receive many benefits from being associated with The State Art Museum of Florida and the largest university museum complex in the country. In addition to meeting new friends and learning new skills, volunteers may also become eligible to receive discounts on membership, discounts in our stores and restaurants, complimentary admission and guest passes.
Students
The Ringling welcomes applications from individuals ages 16 and up who are enthusiastic, self-directed and sincere in their desire to make a commitment to our organization.
Students seeking community service hours toward Bright Futures scholarships or those looking to obtain valuable experience are encouraged to apply. Please understand that available opportunities do vary throughout the year and may, at times, be somewhat limited. Many assignments require new volunteers to successfully complete training beforehand and commit to a regular shift over an extended period of time, so please give careful consideration to your personal schedule and transportation needs before applying.
We encourage you to contact the Volunteer Services Department for information regarding current opportunities and assignment requirements.
Internships and independent study projects for academic credit are arranged through The Ringling’s Student Services Coordinator. More information can be found at Internship Opportunities.
