The Historic Asolo Theater, on the campus of the Ringling Museum of Art, has survived ruin twice: first from progress, then neglect. This book describes the theater's creation and prosperity in Asolo, Italy, its dismantling and voyage to America, and its history on the campus of the Ringling Museum of Art, where it fell into such disrepair that the theater was eventually condemned. But Encore! Is also the story of the theater’s rebirth brought about through years of painstaking conservation and its eventual move to a new, state-of-the-art building in 2004.
