Cà d'Zan Window Ornament

This brass ornament captures one of the most striking features of Cà d'Zan: the use of jewel-toned Lac glass in the mansion's windows. Just past an open window, a festively-decorated Christmas tree can be seen.

Lac glass is mouth-blown into wooden molds, and metal rods are then placed on top to create waves in the glass. The patterns in the glass, along with the many colors used throughout the house, give the entire space the desired Venetian effect.
