Description: |
Filmmaker Bill Morrison, and Painter and Theatrical Designer Laurie Olinder. Morrison’s filmography often uses rare archival footage in which forgotten film imagery is reframed as part of a collective mythology. His films are in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, The Library of Congress and others. He has received the Alpert Award for the Arts, an NEA Creativity Grant, and a Creative Capital award. We will see and discuss one of his films. Laurie Olinder, an award-winning artist has been recognized with two Obie awards, a Bessie award, and an Eliot Norton Award. Laurie plans to show her stage designs commissioned by some of America’s greatest composers.
