Ringling Museum Celebrates the Circus with Day of Programs

WHAT:            The Ringling Museum of Art celebrates the circus by hosting two spectacular groups who are dedicated to keeping the spirit of the circus alive.  In addition to these groups, there will be an interactive family program on the circus for children and their adult partners.

  • Circus Model Builders International Annual Exhibition, Jan. 27, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Meet the builders and view their models in the Circus Museum. 
  • The Windjammers Unlimited Band 24th Annual Concert, Jan. 27, 2 p.m.  Visitors will hear the circus band music of the early Twentieth century in the Museum Courtyard. 
  • Handz On Family Program: Design a circus poster, Jan. 27, 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on the Loggia in the Ringling Museum Courtyard.

COST:             Free with regular Museum admission

General Admission includes the Ringling Museum of Art, special exhibitions, Ca' d’Zan Mansion, Circus Museum, and Mable’s historic Rose Garden, all on 66 acres of lushly landscaped grounds. Adults are $25; senior citizens (65 and over) are $20; children ages 6-17 are $5.  Free Admission for children 5 and under accompanied by an adult, museum members.  Advance tickets are available by calling 941.358.3180.
